USING THE LIBRARY CONTROL BAR
The Control Bar is a very simple, yet powerful tool in the online library. It may look different according to which resource you are viewing. The example above is what it looks like when you are viewing most Bibles. Don't be afraid to click on any item in the Control Bar... you can't break it! The button will create a list of the abbreviations for each Bible book. The abbreviations are links that when clicked on will take you to that book in the main window of the library. The buttons will move you backward a chapter and forward a chapter in the book you are currently viewing. To look up a specific verse or range of verses, select the Bible you'd like to use and enter the reference (i.e. John 3:16 or John 3:10-16) in the text window of the control bar, then press the button. The button will display the table of contents for the book you are currently viewing. Pressing the button will open a new panel to the left side of the library and you can browse other content in the library about the passage you are looking at in the main window. The button opens a new window displaying copyright and publication information about the book you are viewing.
